What is Counselling?

Counselling is a professional, confidential relationship between a counsellor and a client. It gives you space to speak openly, better understand what you are experiencing, and develop practical tools to support your mental and emotional wellbeing.

You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling. Many people seek support for stress, relationship challenges, uncertainty, grief, or simply a desire to understand themselves more clearly.

Counselling offers a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences with the support of a trained professional. At Ridge Health, Natasha Mednikova provides warm, collaborative counselling tailored to your individual needs and goals.

Our Approach

Natasha Mednikova is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She works with adults, individuals, and couples, offering a warm, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences at a pace that feels right for them.

Natasha approaches therapy as a collaborative process and focuses on helping clients gain deeper self-understanding, navigate life’s challenges, and work toward their therapeutic goals. Sessions are available in English and Russian.

All sessions are 50 mins.

Available online for anyone in BC, or in person in Maple Ridge.

Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Online Only)

Thursday: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Online only)

Friday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Online only)

Saturday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Clinic and Online

What to expect

Initial 20-minute online consultation

If you choose a complimentary initial session, the intention is for you to get to know Natasha and see if working together feels right and comfortable. It’s also an opportunity to ask practical questions and discuss your expectations and goals for counselling, and validate whether they are in Natasha’s scope of practice. No preparation is needed for this session and there is no obligation to continue.

Collaborative goal setting

Together, you and Natasha identify focus areas and decide on an approach that fits your needs.

Ongoing support

Sessions provide a consistent, confidential space to reflect, build insight, and develop practical strategies over time

Flexible care

Counselling is available in person at Ridge Health in Maple Ridge and online for BC residents for added flexibility.
